What's in a name 73-87

Because there are 72 and 88 Blazers, what's the reason this web site focus on the blazer years 73-87?

Actually it is more the body style than anything.  Beyond 87 the standard pickup truck changed.  GM kept the Crew Cabs, Blazers and Suburbans with that body style through 1991.  In 92 the change was complete in the US.

because this is chevy trucks not chevy blazers. but like zieg was saying these truck parts are pretty much all interchangeable if you where to say 72-91 chevy trucks i would think about the old round chevys and the 90 style not just "our" style this is also the reason why Chris made a blazer and suburban topic on the form

the year splits for the model changes were
Advance Design 47-55
Task Force 55-59 (there were 2 versions of 1955's)
C/K first gen 60-66,
C/K second gen 67-72,
C/K third gen 73-87,
C/K fourth gen 88-99, etc.

Since our bodystyle went to 1991 on Blazers, Suburbans and Crew Cabs, you will see me list stuff as 73-87(91)...
