« on: August 21, 2013, 06:54:00 pm »
Three times in the last 10 days including two nights in a row when starting my truck it took three turns of the key to start.Once started it ran fine, tell me is it possible my fuel pump is getting ready to go.

how does it idle? what about if you "prime" the pump by turning the key on for a couple seconds till you dont hear the pump any more? what about fuel pressure?

Heck man if this was a ford forum that would sound like a great day... But I noticed the same thing with my truck. The only time that old blue will start right up was within 10k of a fresh tune up. I seriously doubt that it is your fuel pump it's self because I just replaced mi right hand pump and sending unit and it didn't change a thing. Thinking time for new plugs, wires button and cap. I always have to wait  few seconds before starting after I turn the key on just to prime. I still have a TBI rebuild kit and when I get a chance I am going torebuild it and see if it helps.

That will be happening soon ,last time was six months ago . I have noticed a nice change since putting in some injector cleaner every third or fourth tank.

Thanks
