u joints to diff

having a problem...the u joints on the rear end are not spanning the yoke completly,,,the span in the yoke seems to be 3.250 " while the u joint span is 3.219"....i can tighten them so there is no play but they are not snug to the lil nubs on the yoke...will this be a problem...thanks for any info

what are you working on? is the rear original?

75 c10 2wd...orig rear as far as i know...

got it...yoke was worn where the u joints fit into it...never seen it before...

the yoke shouldnt of worn if anything they break but theres no moving parts so either the wrong u joint was put in or the u-bolts weren't tight enough there should be ears on the yoke the u joint should touch both of them
