Which lug nuts to use on my '73 K10
« on: September 01, 2013, 04:14:07 PM »
Hi guys!  :)    I rebuilt my '73 K10 about 30 years ago and put on some cheap chrome wheels.  Now I want to change back to the original wheels, but it has been so long that I can't remember if the acorn type nuts that are on there now are the original ones.  I never throw anything away, so if they are not, I don't know where they are.  If they are not the original ones, can I use them anyway?  I want to make sure that they do not bottom out on the wheel lugs.

Edit:  If I have to get new ones, what size do I ask for?

TIA,
Brady

I am pretty sure you have a 7/16 on there being a 6 lug.  Best thing to do is take one of your lug nuts into an autoparts store and see if it screws on a 7/16 stud.

Thanks for the reply.  I was able to use the nuts that were on the wheels.  They checked to make sure that they did not bottom out.
