4WD Shifter location Floor Board, '84 CrewCab Owners, Help..

I have an '84 2wd Crew Cab, and need to place a hole in the floor board for a 208 transfer case linkage.  (Yes, I'm making it 4wd, long story)  Can someone send a photo or two of the floor board location if you have one, and also a photo from underneath from the passenger side that shows the approximate position of the linkages coming out of a 208 tc.  That will help me figure out where this hole should be.  I will attach a couple photos of my transfer case linkage and my cab, incase there are questions.

I'd find a factory hump with the the shifter already cut out to replace your low 2wdr hump

I would agree.  But, I'm hoping someone may have a photo of their hump, so I can get an idea of where the hole should go, as well as the approximate angle of the linkages from underneath.  It will be on a 4" body lift, so that may be enough clearance without needing the "4wd hump", at least I'm hoping so.........  Hopefully there are some 84 4wd owners out there some where.........

Yeah, after meticulous measuring, I got it!!  Hole finished!!
Now comes painting.

I certainly can share before I forget! The hole size was 3 1/8" wide by 5 1/4" long.  I used the "horizontal linkage" rod from the transfer case as my reference point from underneath.  I placed the shifter lever on the transfer case all the way forward to simulate 4L, (at least I hope it was 4L when all the way forward).  Take a 6" level from the "nipple" at the end of the linkage rod (holding it horizontal) and go straight up (so the level is vertical) to the underside of the cab to determine where the linkage would touch the floor, if it were projected straight up (the rod is still horizontal).  Then I measured over 1 1/8" from that point towards the driver side, because the linkage arm that comes through the floor (rusted flat piece in the photo), actually "dog legs" over 1 1/8" from where it slides into the "tub" that fastens to the floor.  So, now you have one point of reference for an edge, and now you just draw a box, cut it out, and then place the tub in the hole, connect the linkage to make sure no adjustment is needed, and then you drill the holes to fasten it into the floorboard.  I should mention the shifter should be in the 4L position when you put it through the floor, and you measure from the pivot center of the rod that goes through the "tub" forward 3 1/8" and then back 2 1/8" to get the 5 1/4" total length.

The painful part was setting and removing the cab from the frame!  If anyone needs further clarification, let me know, but hurry, I might forget other details, ha......
