didnt know what to put it under cause im new to this site
i was thinking about having my exhaust pipes coming out before the rear axle would i need heat shield for around the gas tank?

nope you should be good if you leave a inch or two gap. wouldn't hurt anything if you wanted to. the pipe gets warm usually you have head shields around the manifolds or cats they tend to get hot
