Windshield washer pump versus electric pump in bottle ??
« on: October 22, 2013, 03:36:56 pm »
It would appear the GM switched the windshield washer pump from the wiper motor on a 1984 to an electric pump in the reservoir in 1985.  Has anyone retrofitted a 85 style on a 1984?  If so how did you do it?

I just added an aftermarket inline pump to my '83, and it was a piece of cake.  Using the reservoir with the pump in it should be the same process.  Just a matter of finding the wire with a meter that is switched (I think it was a switched ground, but not sure about that).

I bought my '82 with an electric pump in the washer reservoir, I thought they were supposed to come that way...
