Did some trading with a local Chevy guy
« on: November 04, 2013, 10:01:57 pm »
A fella I met a couple of years ago who came to the house was interested in a pair of doors I had.  He asked me to come by and take a look at what he was wanting to get gone.  He built quite a truck, started out as a plane jane 4x4 with no options.  This has every option he could fine including working AC and cruise control.  The truck is sitting on 53's, both axles steer and has a 383 stroker.  I hope to get better pics of it sometime but here is what he sent me.

Yep, its the real deal 50K original miles and he says its fast... 12.1 seconds @116 mph.  That one I didn't see up close, it had a car cover on it.

Yeah I used to drive a typhoon (SUV version) V6 turbo with AWD....it was awesome, I miss it. As for the truck I would have to carry a step ladder to get my wife in and out of that (she is only 5'1"). But I would still drive, then maybe I could just tell her she couldn't come along for the ride....lol.

Zieg you thinking about buying these??

They are not for sale.  Even if they were I would have the coin for either one.  He was actually thinking of buying my yellow truck to build it tall...before he found that one

Quickest vehicle gm made in early 90s. 4.3 v6 turbo with AWD. Syclone is truck and typhoon is SUV. They are mad fast with some tuning and worth some serious dough even harder to find.

x2 .... they are awesome, wish I still had mine, college more important I guess. But the Syclone was only made in 91 (2,995 produced) and Typhoon was 92-93 (4,600 produced). These are the stats of them stock from car and driver "0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 13.6 seconds at 93 mph"

Mod it a little, with bigger turbo or more update to date 6 speed....you would have an even more bad @r$s ride, but they are worth more original.

If by SBC you mean a 262 cubic inch 4.3 liter V6...then yes. He said it was all original with 50k miles.
