Need help diagnosing the problem. I got an '84 K30 with dump bed and plow with the purchase of my farm. Don't know much history on it, but I have replaced the alternator, starter, plugs, wires, coil, and ignition control module to get it running fine. Disconnected battery to hook-up the plow wiring. Tried to start it, and nothing happened. Engine did not turn over. Disconnected all plow electrical connections and returned the battery wiring back to the way it was when it was running. No change. When I turn the key, there seems to be a big power draw (dash board lights and buzzer dim). The dash board lights and buzzer work fine prior to turning the key. Jumping the battery had no effect. Clutch safety sensor seems to be working, because when I turn the key without the clutch pushed in, it does not have the big power draw. Battery has good charge. Starter was bench tested and passed. Checked battery cable going to the starter, and it is fine as well. I am thinking it is an electrical issue like a blown fuse, but I really don't know and have limit knowledge on cars.
