whatsup from shaw afb, sc
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:03:22 pm »
Hey everyone I realized the other day I had posted a couple of times and never actually introduced myself/ truck, me and the truck are from Missouri. I bought the 83 c20 from a neighbor for 500 dollars. It had a rotted out flatbed and was in need of some Tlc. Well I drove it around for A few months fixing little things and started looking at what to do to this thing. Come to find out long bed  stepsides are pretty hard to find in our trucks so I went looking for just that. A long bed stepside and 2 months later found one for 550 bucks. Sitting in a field 50 miles from my house.
I drove the truck like that for months and let a friend borrow it for A few more. Well he ended up hotrodding around town and the truck couldn't handle it so it was sold and I left for basic training. After basic and tech school(6 months) I went home and found the truck, bought it and drove it a thousand miles to south carolina where it resides now. While on leave me and my stepdad rebuilt the wood floor in the bed. I've been gathering parts for A top end swap and this is where it sits now. All stock but these will go on soon.

906 cast vortec heads, shaved deck, new rockers and springs, valves/guides, and 3 angle grind
Procomp shootout single plane intake
Comp cams xe262 hydraulic cam/lifters
Comp cams double roller timing chain
Springs on heads are matching comp cams spring for cam.
And found some sweet aluminum tabbed valve covers for 45 bucks on eBay
The stock qjet will be rebuilt and I'm picking up a good set of mid length headers next check.
Don't know why but it's not allowing me to upload photos
