1984 K10 Custom Deluxe
« on: November 27, 2013, 09:58:15 PM »
I had been on the hunt for a DD/Trail truck and this was my answer! Its an 84 K10 with a stock 350 and sm465 followed by a np208 transfer case. 10 bolt front and rear axle with a stupid gear ratio. Not sure if its 3.08 or 3.42 but it doesnt fit my 36s so well. Interior is really awesome with no rips anywhere!
My plans!
some kind of M/Ts... suggestions on what yall like would be nice
rear springs to get rid of the blocks
one ton axles
find a np205 for it
build some kind of motor leaning to a big block
round eye front end swap
find a grill guard to put my KCs on
and a bunch more!
Now some pictures!!!

Was planning to do a motor rebuild/swap.. just not this soon. The motor blew on my way to school yesterday. Looked down and saw 0 oil pressure, pulled over and she was knocking real hard. Looked at my oil and she was almost empty(a gasket blew as well). Filled up and nothing changed. Didn't lock up though. Towing it home later tonight. Thinking Ill build a 350. Or would it be worth it to find and build a big block?

That's one bad ride you got there! if its your dd like mine a 350 will give you better mpg.

What's under the hood??? If you have to ask maybe we shouldn't race...

Yeah I'm really leaning towards a 350 since you can get decent power out of them for pretty cheap. Oh and a already have about half the parts between my brother and me to build a 350 haha.

Well most of my budget is going to the rebuild and the tranny is fine so that might come later! But the 4 speed works great for me.

If you have to replace a crank or rods, it would be a good excuse to build a 383.

I got my hands on a 400 crank and am looking for a set of vortec heads, intake, and carb next. I decided to do something to it so I painted the grill! What do yall think?

I decided I wanted a diesel instead so I found myself a parts truck! Its an 83 c10. All I will need is the flywheel I think. Should be able to make my money back by parting it out!

That 2wd looks like a potential project truck itself.

A little paint and wheels that thing would make a cool dd.

It would make a good beat around truck.. the interior is beyond horrible but the rest of the truck is pretty good! I wish I had the room to keep a third square haha.
