Is it hard to change the front end (grill and headlights) on an 87 to that of a 88 through 92?
Thanks

No not at all. Just find a good doner truck and rob everything off it especially the wiring. Or get all new parts aftermarket. Im sure there is lots of post on here about it.

My '77 K-30 will have a '91 V-series grille/headlights/fenders/hood when it is finally complete.

Taxman,
You do mean 89-91 right. You have to swap core supports to do it. Otherwise it is simple. I have seen it done without the core swap but required fab'ing headlight mounts.

I think the RV series was 87-91 because the 88 T400 CK was already in production a bit earlier than normal in 87. Kieth Seymore might have a bit more detail because he was employed in the truck assembly plant. Not sure if he posts on this board too.

The R/V trucks were produced from 87-91, but the horizontal headlamps that match the early 88-98 ones wasn't offered until 1989. 1981-1988 R/V's had vertical dual lights.
