hi guys
im am rebuilding (1st one) my th400. the forward and direct drums have the steel pistons with the spacers on top...if i wanted to add one or more frictions and steels to the 5 that are in there would i just take the 160 tho or so off the spacer?? is that how its done seeing the pistons can't be machined

thanks

Find an older transmission that uses aluminum pistons.

The steel pistons are not desirable for HD usage.
