Score for shop!
« on: January 16, 2014, 02:00:13 pm »
Just scores this for the shop. I've been hunting an old cabinet like this one for years. Does anyone have an idea as to how old it is?. Paints pretty good just needs a good cleaning

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Thanks guys. One of the images is a tune-up kit that looks like it has points in it but the rotor looks like HEI. I was thinking late 70's to early 80's. Perfect for my square body addiction.

the logo one the right side started in 74 (after United Delco and ac plugs merged) . the part thats confusing me is the 50 years of service since ac plugs started in 1908 and delco was founded in 1901. now in 1926 delco(Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company) and remy electric merged to for delco remy. so the only date that make sense (for 50 years later) is 1926 50 years later would be 1976. since the products dont have ac delco i wana think its a promotion of the merger of ac delco

Irish_Alley, history of auto parts has always been more interesting than history taught in schools. Thanks

wikipedia, i know you can't trust them.  but in 1918 is when general motors bought out united motors.  that would put it at 1968

dvd thats straight from ac delcos website
http://www.acdelco.com.au/history.html
also ac merged with delco in 74 so that ac/gm/delco logo wouldnt of existed in 1968

I just scored a set of 4 stairs on wheels, free. When you step on them the wheels are spring loaded so the legs drop to the floor, and it doesn't move. Sorta like the ones you see at Home Depot, or Lowes, but shorter. The rail has been cut off, I'm thinking rebuilding it with a nice tray for tools. Be great for working under hood, or on a big rig.
