dome light install
« on: February 21, 2014, 04:03:33 pm »
just installed a dome light. pretty simple but I like to show off little projects.

just marked where I wanted it with a pencil. if you plan on doing this either go an inch below or an inch above where I have marked. where the cab top meets the cab there is a lip that interfered with the light. somewhat.

first time using a pneumatic grinder

It looks good, how big of a pain was it to pull the wire ?

Looks like he was smart and pushed a wire threw his hole to the bottom. Tied the dome light  wire and pulled it back threw

thanks guys. yea at first I tried pushing the electrical wire straight down the chute through the cab opening, then did the wire trick. woulda been smoother if the wire wasn't all curled up as there are cab supports in the corner that were hard to squeeze by

light gets a hot wire from fusebox and is grounded by the switch to complete circuit

Okay so one wire leads to the light, which would be orange coming from the fuse box which is hot. And then where does the ground (white wire) go? Does it go to the switch or what?
