driveshaft?
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:34:32 am »
Hey guys. I'm getting ready to swap my np203 tcase for a 205 in my 82 Sierra k10. It's got a th350 transmission and what I'm wondering is if anyone knows what model years I should be looking for to find a drive shaft that will fit. My current one will be too short and to have it lengthened will cost 140$. If I can find a good one in a salvage yard out of a long wheel base I can have it shortened for 40$. I'm just trying to save myself time searching junk yards if I can figure out which trucks I need to be looking for.

Sounds like you need one out of a long bed with the 205 installed to match what you are putting in.  Look around for 3/4 ton long bed 4x4.

Thanks bud. I'll see if I can find one. Only problem I've run into so far is a lot of salvage yards move their cars with forklifts and bend the drive shafts.
