OLD SCHOOL chevy possibly 50s

possibly getting this truck saturday if i can be the first one to it.. lol. its suppose to be a 50s~ model 3600. anyone know how i can tell what year it is for sure? i REALLY hope this one works out lol

     Boy winky, you are glutton for punishment aren't you.  LOL 
     That truck is a 1947 - 1955 truck, if it is a true 3600 it will be a 3/4 ton truck.  To read up on the differences by year on the Chevrolet Advance Design Series, that link will give you the differences from year to year if any to look for.
     Chevrolet task force was the successor to the advance design series, also called the second series if you want to see the difference between the two styles of trucks.
     My wife want a 53 or 54 one day to drive around on the weekends.  Good luck and keep us posted.

thankyou! ill risk sleeping out side if i can get this truck (who needs sleep? i could be working on it ) its cheap enough to be worth me driving 3 hours to get it.. foor is pretty much gone so im trying to find any aftermarket floor pans. i may end up making my own. assuming i get the truck.

     If you do not care about keeping original, I think it is different.  That is my biggest problem, I always build my vehicles so that they are the only one out there.  I like different, and hate as I always say "being a sheep, in line with all the other sheep, being led off to slaughter". 
     So I like it, a lot of people will say sacrilegious.

my dad had 2 of these. me and my brother bought them for him for his birthday. he's still vary pissed off that he had sell them. brothers and classics makes parts for them if I remember.

yeah it would be, but thats out of my budget lol... if im building a mud/rock toy i have to build it to handle the stuff ill put it threw. if i do get it ill possibly drop it low
