A buddy of mine accidentally ran into the left side corner of my fleet side. I know I can remove that whole side and go get another one from the junk yard.
      MY question is, are the 73'-87' short beds for these chevy trucks the same. As long as I find a bed side without the fuel filler (mine is on the right side). Should they just bolt up?

I'm not 100% sure but I would bet yes.  I'm sure someone will chime in with a definite answer.

I don't know if all 73-87 are compatible. However, there are some welds at the rear that you'll need to cut and re-weld. They're in the tail gate area where the bed sides meet the floor. The rest of the side is just bolted.
