Water in Gas Tank

Went to leave for school yesterday morning and truck (83 C10) started up for a few seconds, died and wouldn't start back up. I had to leave so couldn't look at it further, but got home later and removed line off carb and cranked it over, and it just pumped out about a half quart of straight water. It sat for 3 days over the weekend, and we got a decent ice/hail/rain storm the night before. But I've never had this problem before, and it snows/rains alot here. I siphoned out the 9 or 10 gallons of gas and I'll be dropping the tank to look for any holes or anything. Just seems weird that it just happened all of a sudden. 83 C10 Stepside w/ 350

Dropped the tank and pretty easy to see. Just a bit in front of the rear mounting bracket on outer side. Step support has been rubbing/hitting it I guess. Any ideas to solve this? Should I put a spacer under the front left of the bed to raise it up?

     The last pic is hard to see what you were trying to show us.  But if your "step support" is hitting it, I assume when you step on it, I would re-brace it or make a bracket to cradle the step in so it will no longer sag into the gas tank.
     What are you going to do for another gas tank ?

The last pic was trying to show where it was rubbing, phone doesn't take the best pics haha.
I didn't have enough $$ for a tank and I need it tomorrow so I used a gas tank repair epoxy after hammering the tank so the hole was closer/smaller. My dad used it on his K5 a year ago and it was on the bottom and never leaked, so it should be good. Also, I used small but thick body mounts to jack up the front of the bed, now even when stepped on there is still about 1/2" clearance.

Just save the beer cans and get a new tank asap. They aren't all that expensive anymore (relatively speaking considering what a good slug of pure water would do at 2000rpm)
