Other trucks, do you have one ?

Did they make any other truck other that 73-87 Chevys ? Yes they did but they are not as nice.
Here if Florida car shows go all year round and I enjoy going to them. Some are haveing truck nights and I see many more trucks at the shows.
I went to a car show in Plant City FL and saw a lot of cool rides.
1949? Ratrod Chevy oh so cool, also saw a 72 C10 that was cherry but I also saw some other makes.
Like a 77 F150 black and green with race track molding for a FoMoCo it looked good. Also saw a nice Little Red Express Dodge.
And many othert classic trucks.
I like all classic trucks and just picked up a 1952 Dodge, will trade for a 73-87 parts truck.
The Ratrod Chevy I saw has me dreaming. Maybe if I put a 350 in the Dodge that will make it better ?

I think putting Chevy parts on a Dodge, or a Ford, is akin to sacrilege!

One thing I have been getting with my 73 from other Chevy guys is. " Why didnt you get a 67-72 C10, they are worth more and look better.
I say the truth, 73-87s are better trucks !
I was born in 71 so thats the body style I like.
Some of the custom trucks I have seen are all FoMoCo, MoPar, or all chevy.
If I built my 52 Dodge, I'd go with a 318 or maybe a 270 RedRam out of a 56 Dodge a friend has for sale.
727 Trans with push button shift, the rearend out of a New Yorker and a square New Yorker steering wheel.
The fun part would be finding bits to put on it to make it look better.
Maybe a Plymouth Truck grill and Willies tale gate.

The 2 trucks I would love to build if I ever got the chance, an old willy's 4x4, it would have to be custom though. And a Studebaker 2wd truck, I kinda like the way some of the studebakers look, and hey it got my last name in it.

I have many other trucks, just not all squarebodies. This is one of my favorite non-squares.

Not mine per se, but my work partner has a '66 Ford F100 390 big block 2wd on bags. One of my cousins has 3 Chevy's from the '67-'72 era and a '52 Chevy 5 window that is LT1/4l60e powered. I don't own them, but I have worked a lot on all of them.

I was getting some gas when a cool old truck pulled up. I didnt know what it was, just couldnt place it. I had a utilitie box and look to be a 70s truck.
So I asked the guy what is it ?
Turns out it was a Jeep truck and he bought it new. Powered by a 360 MoPar and every thing still works.
He is going to restore it !
Way cool.
As a old truck guy it cought my eye.

I have a friend with a 79 F250 which he bought new ! Ok, it's not a Chevy. But I am doing my best to get him to restore it. FoMoCos are ok in some ways.
This fall some of the guys in my area are going to a classic truck show.
Should be cool.

It makes me want to cry when I see a Chevrolet with a Chrysler or Ford power train in it. But, the only time I'll give a Ford or Dodge a second look is if someone has installed some Chevy iron in it.
