« on: April 22, 2014, 06:46:48 am »
Got a new Carb (Holley) for the ol 350  ;D

Where is the best place to pull power from for the Electric Choke?

Any other pointers would be appreciated.

Thank you

Wire the choke through a two-prong oil pressure switch PS114 or PS115 to fused 12-volt ignition.

Got the new carb on and she is running great (Praise The Lord).

I tied the electric choke into a hot wire that powers the A/C, heat blower motor that is only hot with key on.

That will heat the choke and turn it off if you sit with the key on and the engine not running.  Running the choke through the oil pressure switch ensures that the choke will not heat unless the engine is running.  You pays your money and you takes your choice.  I kind of like being able to turn the choke off by letting it heat with the key on but the engine not running.  Just make sure that you sit with the key in the off position if you don't want the choke heating.
