     Your door shell does look to be 73-76.

that handle is definitely 73-76

It probably is composed of several different year parts hence the state issued VIN tag..  You should be able to find out more from them on what was submitted maybe.  It would probably be easier to swap out all the wiring if the 82 is complete..

#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.

I think it's the same

Came with a title though.
No trouble getting it titled and registered in my state

Although without a 17 digit VIN the clerk at the DMV  got tired of asking questions and just turned the computer screen around and lets point to the box she needed to check  , swb, Lwb , c10, k10 etc
Computer had a hundred choices

Then when she asked what color. I told her it was white and brown and purple and some
Was yellow .

She said. "I will just put unknown for the color if that's ok with you "

So I have a title that says 1980 Chevrolet Sierra.     One of a kind !
