83 REG CAB DUALLY
« on: May 28, 2014, 05:26:27 pm »
Hey guys, new to the forum here. My name is Chris Ryan and I just recently acquired this gem from a buddy who was clearing out the driveway. 1983 Regular cab Short Bed 2wd dually with a 350sbc/400 trans. This will soon be getting a little lowering action and a 5.3/4l60e swap to make a tow pig. Her name Donkay, and yes I'm spelling it wrong.  ;D
More pictures coming soon. She's getting a carb rebuild and a new drivers gas tank this weekend so i can get it to my shop.

So this is what the old quadrajunk looked like when we took it apart. I refrained from showing the picture with all the rat turds gummed up in it. The secondaries would not open.... like i had to take a half bottle of PB blaster, a screwdriver and a little hammer to get them to move. Was gonna stick something else on top like a holley, but would need to change the intake and all with it. Since it's going to receive an LS swap later, budget is absolute key here. So we get the $20 rebuild kit for the Quadrajet an ass load of carb cleaner and PB blaster haha.
