Still love the look of that truck with the matching trailer behind it. I wanted to do the same thing with my 74, but mine is a step side and the trailer will be a fleet side dump bed.

Did you build the trailer or just cut/modify the front frame rails? feel free to make another post.. I have the stuff to do this and just haven't committed yet. I planned to use the long bed from my crewcab when I shorten it...

I took another 79 long box that we had at the farm. Removed cab, motor and front clip. I had a welder notch and bend the frame rails in, weld and reinforce. Added a hitch and checker plated the front. Pretty simple to do. I also bought new box sides and tailgate.

That is an awesome combo. I've done the same and have a frame all done and ready for the right 8 foot be for it. If anyone needs to see it where I cut/bent/welded it back up I can take pictures. I had my white bed off my 85 C20 on it but put the bed on a cab and chassis a while ago. Here it is pictured with the current bed on it that is now on my 85 C20
