Tie Rods, Ball Joints, U Joints, Wheel Bearings?
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:53:58 pm »
Im looking to replace all of the above, i know its going to be a pain in the ass but my steering on the truck has probably never been gone through. The Axels are from a K20, (i was told) so i assume i need to buy the parts for the k20?

What parts would you fellas suggest?

Mike

Moog for ball joints.  Cost a little extra, but that job is almost all labor, so put them in and never worry about ball joints again.  Why would you want to do it twice?

i just did ball joints, u joints, bearing seals, rotors, and pads of my K10. it sure wasnt any fun and rich is right its all labor. took about 20 hours total to do both sides. ran into snags here and there but it was alearning experience. i checked the bearings they were in good shape and i made sure to repack them with alot of grease.

while u have everything apart you might aswell just put new rotors on it and save yourself from tearing it apart later on down the road as said above
