Original paint scheme and paint color for engine compartment

I am going to redue the paint in the engine bay of my 1978 c20 while I have the engine out.  So, I think they were originally painted the main body color.  Is this true?  Any other details would be appreciated.

Inner fenders and core support and all pieces bolted to it was black is semi gloss black.

Fenders and cab were body color.
