Made a trip to the track
« on: June 07, 2014, 08:37:48 pm »
The wife has been bugging me to go racing so last week we made a trip to Pittsburgh Raceway...first time we have been out this year.
I had put new back tires on it a month or so ago & changed the oil. Didn't even bother to change the sparkplugs...it was kinda a last minute thing: "Want to go racing? When? Now! Let's go!
She made 3 passes...12.29, 12.29 & 12.33. She was rolling the tires coming out so the 60' times were a bit off (1.62, normally 1.58 or 9). Not sure if the track prep was not great or the tires need a few more burnouts to get "right". Time will tell. We are planning to make a couple passes Tues. evening @ Norwalk (Summit motorsports park) & should give a little better idea of whats going on.
Going to install a rear anti-rollbar as the thing is really rocking over on the launch. Look at that face...tell me she's not going to drill the guy in the other lane on the starting line. Lorne

Great showing for just loading up and doing it! Something tells me she did drill the other lane at the tree. Maybe you can grab a video or two the next time out?
