Expensive but I just had to have it.  If anyone needs any specific GM part #'s for any 85-86 CK and 87-91RV I got the book.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Yes it was.  Now I know exactly what I need, now I just got to find some NOS parts.  Probably looking for a needle in a haystack but I got to try...  Anyone know of a good GM part # search engine.  So far I haven't found one that just does that search without trying to sell you floor mats...

:'(  You beat me to it!   LOL!!

If you know a counterman at a local GM dealer have him or her run the P/N through GM for the most up-to-date number.  If you're lucky, one of the PDCs will still have it.  If the part is obsolete, have the dealer check availability through the national parts locator network for NOS.  That should provide the most current information.  There are many dealers around the country with NOS lookin for a home.

I'll give my local Chevy dealer a try.  At least he shouldn't be upset, I have the numbers which is the hard part...

If you BD or anyone else needs anything specific out of the book, I have a fax machine and I am not afraid to use it...  Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, still in the dark ages...

I also have Parts and Illustration Catalogs for all of my vehicles.  If you go to your Chevy Dealer they also have access to VPI.  VPI is Vintage Parts, Inc.  www.VPartsInc.com

As a consumer you do not have access to VPI, but that is where all of the manufacturers off-load their obsolete parts.

Vintage Parts sells to me direct. You have to specify "retail", and you have to pay with credit card.

Vintage Parts is a good place to look for obsolete parts, but they are no bargain.......

Maybe they changed their business model.  They didn't used to sell to retail customers.  Anyways...everybody wants their cut, so VPI marks up quite a bit to be able to hold onto those slow moving OE parts.

I created an account with VPI, no luck on my GM part #'s with them.
