Need wiring help

I'm swapping a L31 Vortec 5.7 engine into my 84 C10. I have done away with the fuel injection and all of the associated wiring and am going with a carburetor. I have kept all the accessories from the serpentine setup on the Vortec engine and all the plugs are different for the AC compressor and alternator. I have looked and looked but can't find any wiring information on it. Has anyone here performed a similar swap and have the information for the wiring? Thanks in advance.

      Welcome to the site.  Have you tried looking under the "LS swap" section under the "engine section", in the "73-87 Chevy Trucks" listing ?
     I know a few here have done it, and some in the process of doing the swap.  If captkoas see's this he might be able to answer your question.  I have not done one yet, so I would not know.

I did look at that but didn't see anything applicable. I bought an adapter from Amazon, AC Delco part # PT2145 which is supposed to make the AC compressor plug and play but it didn't plug into the compressor  :(

     Can you show a pic of the AC compressor plug and the plug that you have and then the adapter you bought.  Someone here might be able to help if they can see the plugs.

Sorry, my bad, I had the AC compressor on the brain and incorrectly stated that the adapter I bought was for the AC when it's actually for the alternator. My new alternator plug looks like this:



and my old alternator plug looks like this:



So, I need to adapt the old to the new. I can't find any pictures of the AC compressor plugs at the moment and I won't be going back over to the garage until next weekend. I can try to get some pictures then.

can't see the other pic, but are the terminals on that PLFS?  If so
P= empty.
L = switched ignition power (same #1 wire from your previous 2 wire setup.)
F = empty
S = main power (same #2 wire from the previous 2 wire setup)

You will also need the BAT from the Battery and make sure the ground is good.
