1981 c10 lwb on a 73 k10 lwb frame
« on: July 28, 2014, 10:35:43 pm »
So I have an 1981 c10 lwb that I wanted to swap on to a k10 frame so I got a good deal on a 1973 k10 lwb parts truck with a good frame (figured I could scrap it and make my money back if it wouldn't work) so my question is are all the body mounts gonna line up?

yes, but you have to use the body mounts from the 73 frame to make it work

I wasn't really planning on switching them anyway. How are they different?

they are different with the way they sit in the frame, i think the 73 ones will be more of a cone shaped and the 81 will be more of a cylinder shape

The 81+ look like hockey pucks above, and below the frame.

The 73~80 are all kinds of weirdness.
