I am getting ready to start a new project,
i want to take an 85 Silverado body (cab fenders bumper bed) and put it on a newer chevy 2011-2013 frame and drivetrain
Does anyone know if the wheel base will work?
I am trying to find an extended cab 83-87, found one but the guy will not sell
so i guess my question is (is the wheel base on an 85 the same or remotely close to a 2013)
does anyone see any other issues i may come accross before i jump into this?

Allot of fabrication to get that body onto that frame. Fuel tank is in board of the frame, filler hose might present problems. Mounting computer, and wire harness swap. Dash swap to run with the wire harness. If automatic you will have to adapt the shift cable to work with older column, or figure out how to mount newer column in to cab.

Also Zeig85 here is selling an 85 ext cab if I am not mistaken, pm him and find out.

A Extended cab truck was sitting on a LWB frame with a SWB bed on it and modified cab.  The wheelbase is 131.5".
A new GMT800 Silverado 98-07 truck that is a longbed is 133" wheelbase.
