NP203 Part time kits
«

So I've been looking at converting my NP203 to part time. But all I can find online is the Mile Marker 501/502 kit. I read where Mile Marker bought the rights to the Doug Nash 1 piece shaft kit. And I know they used to sell it. But now I can't find anything but the 501/502 kit. Even on MM's website. Did they stop making the shaft kit? Where can I go to find one?
Thanks.

I have not been able to locate where to buy one either. Maybe call MM and ask them.

I searched google. And it brought me to a forum here on this site from 2010 saying that MM had discontinued the shaft kit. How lame.

Also I've read a few times where people have said that by installing a part time kit into their 203, the pump stops working and then the 203 fails. But I have known people who have had the kits installed for years and never had a problem. In fact I've never heard of this issue until a few days ago. Has anybody installed a kit and had problems? Has anybody converted their 203 and not had problems?
Thanks

'77 K20 has the part-time kit! Haven't had any problems. The one thing I do and was told...lock your front hubs every 100-200 miles or so. There is a bearing in the front that has a oil trough that is splash fed. Turning-in the hubs every so often and driving it for a bit, replenishes the oil in that trough. I do that, but am not super diligent with it and have never had a problem.

I've heard that a 208 is a direct replacement
If so. Might be cheaper than Installig a part time kit

Roundhouse. That's a good thought. I'll have to check into that. The only thing I really like about the 203 with the part time kit is the shift pattern. I like that I can lock it into 2 low. But if I keep breaking the 203 because of the part time kit, I'll check into a 208, or preferably the 205. It may not be shift on the fly. But it's bullet proof.
