parking lights

I was replacing the yellow bulb , one of the contacts fell out of the light socket. Now it does not work.  My question is " what is the best way to replace the socket? "

Cut it off, wire in a new or used one.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Replacement sockets with pigtails should be readily available.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
