How Many built

My truck was originally purchased in early 88,knowing that I am trying to learn how many were built after it. Anyone have a idea how I can find this out?

I am sure there are total production #'s posted somewhere, I may even have it in my manuals... Anyway the last 6 numbers in your VIN is the production sequence.  My 85's last numbers are 173666
