New bed sides
« on: November 07, 2014, 04:11:01 am »
Anybody have any ideas about where is the best source for some replacement bed sides.

I'm looking for SWB without the fuel holes. I need both sides.

Thanks in advance.

I think Chris (Capt Kaos) sells them, he's the site owner here. The left side you can get without a fuel hole, it's just models without dual tanks. The right side will always have a fuel hole, that you will have to patch closed or weld a plate onto to make it disappear.

Unless it's a single tank 80's bedside.  For no fuel filler hole in the bed it'd be a single tank 70's drivers side panel and an single tank 80's passenger side panel.

I'm putting this shortbed on a Crew Cab, installing a Suburban tank and relocating the fill door to behind the tire. I have found bedsides with no filler hole, I'm more interested in the quality of the sides from different suppliers.

Yes I sold the other one, I just can't stay away from these square body trucks. This already has the Cummins in it. I have a decent SWB, but if I can find a couple of bedsides of good quality I would put them on it. If not I will start the body work on mine in the next week or so.
