1980 c10 4.1l inline 6

I replaced head gasket and all top end gasket about a month ago and the head recently blew again any one know why besides water pump and thermostat head is getting re surfaced now just waiting on it ..could it be because my head bolts got stretched helllp

It could be a number of things, head is warped or twisted, block and head are not meeting perfectly parallel,  head bolts have stretched and are not tightening down properly or not holding there torque. Good idea getting the head cut. I would get a decent quality gasket, new head bolts, check the block surface to be sure it's not damaged or anything and make sure to tighten the bolts down in the proper sequence following the proper torque specs.

Thanx for the info its so hard getting head bolts called jets summit racing ARP none of them have my head bolts called all local auto part stores they are telling me 25 min order at 3.80 a pop 100 for head bolts I will pass any ideas on maybe some other cheaper route than again

I know it's a little late to reply to this. But if you have a farm supply store that sells tractor and or truck supplies you can usually find the bolts there. Also take a look at bolt supply warehouses. I've boughten head bolts for my sons honda there. They ran me about 1.70 a piece.
