Shocks

hey new member here.. What kind of shocks do u guys think i should put on a stock 1986 C1500 if i want a smooth ride but can still haul a little in the bed?

If it's a stock truck and you want the best of both then get factory AC Delco shocks from a dealer or auto parts store that sells Delco. If you can't find them in Delco then get a set of factory replacements from a good company,  Monroe, Bilstein, Rancho, etc.

I would stay away from the Monroe max-too stiff

Bilstein 5100's are nice that's what I put on but that's for a lifted 85'

I run Monroe coil over shocks on my trucks. They give you an extra 450 ish lbs. of capacity.

no but not in a hurry to buy just want to know what to get when i get to the point and btw i am from ripon, i saw u are from modesto... thanks for the advise btw but where did u buy your shocks

Oh cool. Couple of the guys in the shop live in Ripon. I got my shocks at O'Reilly's couple years ago. Where are you located now if you don't mind me asking?

Summit would probably be your best bet for the most variety of shocks.
