Input on bagging my 85 k10 lwb
« on: January 07, 2015, 02:51:24 am »
I've decided I want to bag my 1985 lwb k10. Before I start on the project I was hope y'all here might have some input on what to use and how you guys have done your set ups.  I was planning on fabricating this out of 1-1/4, 10 gauge tubing, 1/8" plate for the gussets, and 1/4 or 3/16 plate for the brackets. Then for my joints I'd either use Johnny joints or weldable four bar link end that use bushing such as these    And for my bags I was thinking of using 2600lbs rated bags.

This basically how I was thinking of making my suspension look like.  Only with bags.

Or this

Eventually after I'm done with the rear   Suspension id upgrade the front suspension as well with bags.

For one of the company's I was thinking of going threw was this one http://thecustomconnectiononline.com/index.php

If anyone has input on how to do my set up I would appreciate it. That or companies to go threw for some materials.

I sort of did the same thing and finally decided to bag my truck. I did a lot of research on parts companies everything. I dont have the tools or experience to build it myself. I finally decided on a kit.

You said K10, are you talking about a 4WD? or 2WD?
