Of the oil cooler adapter area (87 V20 5.7). I have a leak here, but only when cold. Is there a thermostat in the oil cooler dingus?

If it is factory it is just an adapter. There is no thermostat.

Yep and o-rings on adapter are prone to leak with age especially when cold
