Volt meter in dash not working
« on: January 19, 2015, 01:13:44 pm »
I have a 1986 K10. The volt gauge in the dash is not working. I took it out and connected to the battery with some wire leads and the needle moves and seems to be working fine. I have 14 volts at the battery and 15 volts at the alternator but only 6 volts at the socket in the cluster that the gauge plugs into. I dont understand why I'm only getting 6 volts. Any ideas on what may be the problem? Thank you for your help

Bad connections or bad wires. Go to the source and check back to the meter.

Each day is a gift. So make the best of it! And that can happen with a 4x4 Burban.
