Orange light under headlights issue

Now this may sound like a dumb questipn but o can't solve it. Im replacing the orange bulbs under my headlights. It seems like you have to push turn and they lock in. On mine no matter how far i push them they wont turn. Please help me

Can you see the slots in the socket where the dimples on the bulb lock into?  Is the socket bent or damaged there?  If you mess with it long enough and can't figure it out I would just wire in a new socket--available at auto parts stores.

They are generally indexed to go in a certain way, twist them around and see if that helps.
