What is this?
« on: February 20, 2015, 08:41:25 am »
First time posting on this forum, thanks for allowing me to join.

I bought a 77 Chevy K10 Scottsdale recently. I bought it for 2 reasons, I need a work horse to haul stuff with and to learn how to work on cars/trucks. I've done the simple stuff on it already, tune up, fuel system, etc. I noticed when I was replacing the fuel tank that I have this hanging from the bottom of the truck:

I can't seem to find where it would be connected to.  Any ideas?

it almost looks like the "4x4LOC" light switch that goes on the transfer case shifter

but i dont think they are angled like that

Flatblack might have it right- I don't have a 4x4, but it might go on top of the transfer case.. Is that what they call a ball switch? It needs cleaned up.

the only reason i suspect is because i just fixed mine not long ago and the little rubber boot made me think of how i had to search for the boot when it fell lol
