1978 k30 3+3 rear seat swap - HELP!
« on: February 27, 2015, 03:38:46 PM »
Last summer, my father in law found us a '78 dually crew cab. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the road for several years and a family (or families) of mice made a home in it. We ripped out the entire interior of the cab. Almost a year later, it is road ready but the cab still isn't.

Before I go on a wild goose chase, what are my best options for a rear seat? I have 3 little kids (7, 5, and 2). The two older guys are still in a booster and the "baby" is in a carseat still. After doing a bit of research, I kind of like the idea of finding a seat with the seatbelts integrated.

What I am really looking for is your opinions, experiences, etc. Of course, the safety of the kids is 1st and foremost.

i think the years are 99-06 for gm truck seats that have the seat belt integrated into the seats. cant remember what year they start with the car seat  anchors for the baby seats but they should of been phased in by 2000.

im putting a set off a 2001 extended cab in my crew cab. want to say the width is about the same as ours. if you use a 88-98 you will find theyre about 6" shorter

Here are some of a customer of mine that used the Rod Doors door panels and 95-99 seats.

i think even with the 99-06 seats only the front seats have the belts in them. the rear is still mounted on the side
