K30 for K30 trade
« on: March 01, 2015, 08:40:16 pm »
Traded an '86 Chevy K30 Scottsdale 114K miles, 2" suspension lift, 454, 4 speed for an '84 Chevy Silverado 89K miles, stock suspension, 454, auto/400T. Both went home happy.

Nice looking trucks. Looks like nobody lost anything on the trade. You came out with one with less miles and no more shifting and a Silverado to boot. My brother has a 1986 K30 with BBC and auto trans. I have a few myself. Any plans for the new unit or just leave as is?

I would have definitely kept the '86, but my '02 Silverado HD is black with a manual transmission and big block engine so you can believe I'd be biased. :)

BTW you wouldn't be interested in trading the '84 for a clean '94 K2500? ;)

This one is a keeper. Plan so far is a set of Alcoa rims, jump up to a set of 285/75r16 mud tires, chrome molding down the middle, chrome front and rear bumpers, hide away gooseneck hitch and either flow master 30 series with echo chambers or 12" glass packs with echo chambers.

I agree, 4 speed manual all the way.  I am partial to Scottsdale trim package but I am not a fancy guy.  I do like red!!!

Nice old school wheel covers. Both look like nice trucks.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
