Just brought it home. It's a 1982 Chevy k2500. it's a solid truck. But will definitely need some work.
this is where it quit on me. The p.o. took out a 4" body lift but didn't change the clutch back. So it slipped bad and I couldn't get any momentum. here is the only time you'll see me tow my chef with a Ford. (Had to get it home some how.
Here are just some pic of what I'm starting with.

Just fixed the clutch rod. Had to cut 4" out. Just going to paint it and put it back in. It'll be nice to have a clutch.

We had a balmy day of 4 today so I put the clutch rod back in and pulled the locking hubs. There seized so I'm hopping I can just free them up and not have to replace them.

So almost done the frame was a little premature. Had to take the transfer case apart for new bearings and a speedo gear.
mud in the transfer case is never good.

Got the transfer case back together with all new seals and bearings. Put the old motor in so I can get the exhaust done. then the cab can go back on.
