I've done quite a few jobs like that and other than hooking up the linkages and solenoids the biggest problem I had was getting the door's smooth where I welded the metal in place of the handles and locks. The metal isn't very strong right there mostly because there's no support behind it. If you're not careful it'll be high one time and low the next. Use a good airfile and then finish it with a paint paddle with some 180 grit stuck to it(simple but proven efficient!!) There's several companies that offer really good solenoid and cable setup for opening the doors and the switch placement is up to you. The neatest one I think I did was a small switch set in behind my driver's marker light. Press the light at the backside of it and the door popped open. Looked neat anyway!!! Good luck, Bill

Thanks for the reply.  I had 11 pound solenoids hooked up but they seem to be to weak.  What would you recomend as good poundage for everyday use.  My truck is going to be a daily driver.  Thanks
