Restoration, 1980 k30
« on: March 26, 2015, 11:41:24 pm »
Hello all, I'm working on an 1980 k30 custom deluxe dually restoration project and I can't find a bed anywhere, if anyone has advice on where to get a bed

Thank you.

I can find clean beds on Craigslist and I live in the rust belt.
Expect to pay $1000 and up.

Daily visits and searches of Craigslist and Kijiji and sites like that is really your only option.  Have patience and you will find what you need.

Where are you located? What year are you looking for? Does the year matter?

There is an 81-87 in good shape in a North Idaho junkyard I took a picture of today. No idea how much they want for it.

Finding a long bed shouldn't be too hard
You can add the dually fenders to any bed
Where you located ?

And the bed sides are removable
Bolts and a short weld near the tail light
If you find one with rust on just one side

FYI, There are inner pieces on a dually bed that you cannot source aftermarket that goes where the fenders bolt on.
