Help! Speedometer problem.

TodayI decided to do some mudding in my 86 Chevy C20. So I went to put it in reverse and the speedometer goes backwards. When I go forward, it works fine. Any ideas on the problem.

Not a problem, it is supposed to do that.  All cable driven speedometers work like that
