Excellent job.  Any problems working with the fleece instead of fiberglass cloth?

Imo the fleece is easier for this type of project because structural rigidity isn't as important since the dash pad provided this and the fleece stretches and is more forgiving around contours and edges. The cloth tends to be used more where it will be abused or need lots of strength. One thing I cant say enough though is to make sure you have the COMPLETELY SOAKED in resin. I learned from my mistakes.

The last couple days I have been trying to get all of the tech equipment hooked up. I ran into a few issues though. For some reason now that I have taken my previous radio head unit out of the picture, the amp for the 4 speakers has been iffy. First of all I run two amps, one for the sub and one for all four speakers. The sub amp and sub woofer work fine. When I start my truck and let it idle, the amp for the 4 speakers cuts out. ( i think it has a safety cut off) I was confused as i have never had this problem before. I did a test with a multi-meter and found that I am running 13.2v at idle. when I increase rpm, the amp comes back on and the voltage increases to about 13.4-5. My only conclusion is a alternator running down hill because I think its supposed to be around 14v. If any one has any input that would be awesome! Also, my truck is a diesel, so it has two batteries.

Although automotive electronics are "12 volt systems" the expected voltage is 13.8 volts on a properly functioning automotive system.  If the amp has overly sensitive voltage cutoff point, the power supply may be shutting down if the voltage drops too low.

Wow that turned out amazing, thanks for giving me another great project. Quick question for ya, in your photo with all the product used there is fiberglass mat did you end up using that or just the fleece. New to fiberglass and filler so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Tha ks alot! I didn't end up using the mat. The mat is stronger than the fleece though. I bought just I case I had to fill any holes. Since I just covered the dash, the fleece was sufficient.

That turned out really great. Did you end up covering up the holes in the dash for the speakers? If you did, how did that affect sound?
