Ok, it has been a looong time since I have done much wrenching. I have my replacement engine on a stand in my garage. I was turning the engine to work on side using the short little handle that came with my engine stand. Most of you will know what is coming... I was not ready for the sudden weight shift of the engine as it rotated on the stand. That little handle was useless to stop it.
So the engine rotated all the way over really fast and tossed me across the garage when I tried in vain to stop it. Fortunately I was not seriously hurt and have learned my lesson. I got a 4 foot piece of gas pipe to control this going forward and it works really well.
I normally don't like to expose my stupidity but thought I might save someone else from making this mistake. Maybe no one else has ever done this.
Thanks
